Pure Potential’s Founder and Director, Olwyn Merritt

Olwyn founded Pure Potential in 2000 after a distinguished career in senior management (principally in the IT and Telecoms sectors).

During her twenty-year career, Olwyn created, developed and led large, multi-skilled, teams to achieve exceptional results in Sales, Marketing and Training. Her teams successfully carried through major cultural and business management changes at BT, Energis and Kewill Systems (later, K3). Olwyn has extensive line-management experience ranging from start-up operations in the SME (small to medium enterprise) sector to setting up whole new divisions in large, established companies. She holds two Masters degrees from Trinity College Dublin and was sponsored by BT to attend Cranfield’s Senior Women’s Management Programme.

Olwyn is a highly sought-after speaker and presenter for organisations such as CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants), Dell, the University of Surrey, the NHS, and the ICF (International Coaching Federation). She has clients based in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Holland, Eastern Europe, and North America. She is one of only eight coaches to work with Dell’s Top 50 global executives and their teams.

Olwyn and her associates specialise in facilitating team and management development programmes, performance coaching for sales and management teams, and individual coaching for leaders and managers.

As a professional coach, Olwyn trained with the Newfield Network, is a Professional Certified Coach accredited by the ICF (International Coaching Federation), and a member of A4SL (The Association for Strategic Leadership). She is licensed to use a number of development tools and diagnostics, including MBTI and Hogan. See Assessments for more details.

Associates of Pure Potential

All Pure Potential’s associates have enjoyed substantial business success with senior executive responsibility before devoting themselves to coaching, development, or consultancy. All our associates are required to operate to a strict professional Coaching Code of Ethics.

We only work with coaches who have been independently accredited, either by the ICF (International Coaching Federation), the Association of Coaching or the EMMC (European Mentoring and Coaching Council). This means that they have undergone rigorous training and a strict accreditation process.

Pure Potential has a pool of over twenty coaches who combine senior-level business experience, business consulting experience and coaching expertise. They use a range of psychological models and proven methods from the fields of coaching, psychology and organisational development.
